This week I’ve been taking advantage of having a few free moments down on the strip to do some random shooting. I’ve been using this time to kind of re-bond with my 5D Mark II / 50mm f1.2 combination. I don’t want to just repeat the gushing from my last post but…. I love this camera/lens combination!
I got a couple shots at Ceasars that I liked but I really started enjoying myself when I was down in front of the Palazzo just as the sun started to go down. This is a very fun place to shoot, especially when the street lights come on. I’ll probably be going back there when I have a chance to look for some new angles.
Here are some of the shots from today. Just fun stuff, no award winners.
All photos shot wide open at f1.2. (is there really any other way to shoot with this lens!) One challenging consequence of doing this is that focus might not always be optimal. That’s evident in several of these shots. I’ll probably go back to this location with that in mind to reshoot (to get some better focus :-).
