Last night I felt like shooting, but didn’t feel like driving downtown. I’ll often feel like if I’m going to shoot street photography I need to be in more of a city type environment, or at least down on Fremont Street where there’s always something going on, especially at night. But just didn’t feel like heading down there last night. It’s not really that long of a drive but I had been going down there quite a bit lately and just felt like a change of scenery.
So, instead of going anywhere I just took a walk around where I live. To be honest, it was actually more fun than I’d had the past few times when I actually did make the drive to go downtown to shoot. Just goes to show you, you really can shoot anywhere – you just need to be able to see the shots.
Gotta love shooting film at night! Film has been such a joy to shoot these past few weeks. This week I’ve been shooting Ilford HP5+ pushed to ISO 1600. I love Tri-X, but have been enjoying the extra detail from Ilford.
Here are some of the images from my walk.
Almost finished the roll but needed a couple more shots, so there’s always throwing the guitar on the bed – always a willing model. 🙂
