Have you been hesitating to jump from Adobe’s Creative Suite to the Creative Cloud? Many have been a little leery of signing up for subscription based versions of Photoshop and any other Adobe product they might be using. I’ve even stopped at CS5. Not sure which way I’ll head.
To be honest I really don’t use Photoshop that much for my photo editing. Most of that stays in Apple’s Aperture. I’ll occasionally make the trip in Photoshop from Aperture if I need to do some heavy pixel pushing, but for the most part Aperture does everything I need.
That being said, Adobe has created a nice bundle for photographers. Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 for $9.99/month. If you use these two programs and want to continue using the newest releases, that’s a great deal. It more that justifies the move to the subscription based pricing. As pointed out in DPReview’s post about this deal, if you were to outright buy Photoshop and Lightroom, that would set you back around $400.00. This new plan will only cost you $120/year, and that includes updates.
