I wanted to make this video because this is the camera that started it all for many of us that now shoot Fuji – a small, retro styled, 12mp camera that started something pretty big. The retro looks and features were a breath of fresh air that gave a lot of manual control back to photographers with external dials, rather than doing so much through the menu and LCD screen.
The camera is small, charming, and disarming. You can shoot a lot of stuff with this camera that you wouldn’t be able to get with a big DSLR with a long lens. And although it may be small, the current version, the X100T has a 16mp sensor that helps produce amazing professional level image quality.
If you’re a DSLR shooter and wanting to maybe check out Fuji and see what all the hype is about, maybe you should pick up an X100 series camera. But be warned, it was the gateway drug for so many of us and led us away from our DSLR systems. (but that’s a good thing!)
