There are a lot of videos out there showing you a lot of accessories for the X100 series, but I just wanted to focus on two accessories that I find extremely significant for this camera.
That would be a thumb grip and a soft shutter release button. They not only add to the cool retro look of this already cool-retro-looking camera, but really add to the functionality and the overall experience with this camera.
The X100 is a very small camera, and when I’m walking around with it all day (or night) doing street photography, there’s not a lot of camera to hold on to. The thumb grip makes the camera much easier to hold, and it just feels much better in the hand.
The soft release button really does smooth out the action of pressing the shutter button. That’s ALWAYS better! I wish I could add one to my X-T1, but I understand how the couldn’t leave the screw threads there and still keep the body weather sealed.
Anyway, I wouldn’t want to go back to shooting without either of these items. I loved the X100 and these make me love it that much more!
I got both of my products from Lensmate. There are cheaper options out there, but from what I’ve heard, Lensmate makes a better quality product.
